Alexa is a free, ad-based product which installs itself into your Internet Explorer or Netscape browser. It ads a bar which has a series of links into browser which gives quite a bit of information about each web page that visit. When we download the software, and at times during our use of the Alexa website and Toolbar Service, Alexa transmits Alexa cookies to the hard drive of computer. These cookies assign Web browser a unique series of numbers, letters, or characters that enable Alexa's servers to recognize and identify Web browser when we are using the Toolbar Service. They also enable Alexa to track and store information about Web usage path and online shopping while using the Toolbar Service.0
